Even If This Love Disappears Tonight Korean Remake (2025)
The most loved Japanese romance film is returning as a Korean adaptation on December 24. The 2022 movie had left me shattered in the most beautiful way and I’m already expecting the Korean version to bring those same emotions back.
In this remake, Choo Young-Woo, last seen in Head Over Heels, plays Kim Jae-Won (originally Tooru Kamiya) and Shin Shi-Ah, whom you may remember from Resident Playbook, plays Han Seo-Yoon (based on Maori Hino). I really enjoyed their previous work and can’t wait to see them together in this movie.
The new poster, with the caption “I will love the tomorrow you again”, already feels full of longing and hope, hinting at the bittersweet romance we are about to experience.

The original story is based on the novel “Konya, Sekai kara Kono Koi ga Kietemo” by Misaki Ichijo. It follows Tooru Kamiya, who makes a fake love confession to Maori Hino, the most famous girl in school. He only does this to protect his classmate from bullies who were planning to record the rejection and humiliate him. Tooru expects her to say no, but to his surprise, Maori says yes.
Later, Tooru tells her the truth. He admits that the confession wasn’t real and that he only wanted to help his friend. By then, the video of the confession has already spread around the school, and revealing the truth would only create more drama. To avoid that, Maori suggests that they pretend to date and sets three rules for it: don’t talk to her until after school, keep conversations short, and don’t fall in love. But slowly and naturally, the third rule breaks.
Just when Tooru starts understanding his own feelings, he discovers Maori’s secret. She has anterograde amnesia. Every time she sleeps, her memories reset, and everything that happened the day before disappears. Tooru is devoted to giving her as much happiness as possible. What plan will he devise to protect Maori’s happiness?
