I am completely obsessed with the premiere of Good Boy (จิรภัทรจะเป็นเด็กดี), which officially premiered on television and online platforms on October 4, 2026, and my weekend plans are officially ruined in the best possible way! I knew I was in for a wild ride from the moment the opening credits started, and now the series has taken over my group chats and social media feeds. GMMTV might have another hit on its hands, and I am already hooked. I just want to soak up every single second of this series!
The BL begins with Jiraphat (Metas Opas-iamkajorn), a tired 30-year-old office worker who suddenly dies after a particularly miserable day at work. But fate has other plans for him. Instead of everything ending there, he gets an unexpected second chance and finds himself back in his 17-year-old body. Now, he has all the memories and regrets of his adult life, along with a clear idea of the things he wishes he had tried but never did. Determined to do things differently this time, Jiraphat sets out to make the most of his teenage years, take chances he once avoided, and stop holding himself back.
Good Boy is an easy pick for fans like me who enjoy high school romance, time travel, and second chances. Like Always Meet Again (Korean BL) and My School President, it has a warm, fun feel, with lively characters who make the story even more enjoyable.
Good Boy Episodes 1-2 Review: I'm Already Obsessed

Episode 1 wastes no time throwing Jiraphat into his new reality. He wakes up wearing his high school uniform, and the panic on his face says it all. Watching a 30-year-old man suddenly find himself back in his teenage body is comedy gold, especially when he has to deal with high school life all over again. His reactions to teenage drama are hilarious, and honestly, I can understand why he feels so overwhelmed!
What I love most is how determined Jiraphat is to do things differently this time. He no longer wants to sit quietly at the back of the classroom. He wants to speak up, meet people, take chances, and make something of his life. Seeing him try to make up for all the things he missed out on as a teenager is both funny and relatable. The warm lighting and nostalgic school hallways also make the setting look beautiful, adding to the charm of these opening scenes.
Episode 2 gets even more interesting as we get to know the school's student president, Ruth (Peemsan Sotangkur). He comes across as quiet and observant, which makes me even more curious about him. When Ruth and Jiraphat catch each other's attention across the courtyard, I couldn't help but look forward to seeing more of them together. They don't say much to each other, but every little glance hints at the profound chemistry between them that's hard to miss. Peemsan Sotangkur does such a lovely job portraying Ruth's quiet, attentive nature that I found myself squealing at the screen!
I also love how the episodes balance humor with quieter, more emotional moments. Some scenes had me laughing, while others hinted at the regrets and vulnerability behind Jiraphat's decision to change his life. The pacing keeps things moving without rushing the characters, and after just two episodes, I'm already curious to see how their relationship develops and where Jiraphat's second chance will lead him.
After watching the first two episodes, I'm pretty sure Good Boy is going to get plenty of attention on social media over the next few weeks. The supernatural twist makes the story fun, but the emotions feel real, and the character development is already showing promise. Mick Metas and Peemsan Sotangkur have great on-screen chemistry, and I love how their scenes make me want to see more of these two together. With all the laughs and those little emotional moments, I'm already so attached to this Thai BL!
I'm giving the first two episodes a 8.9/10 because they've exceeded my expectations so far. The story has me curious about what comes next, and I'm excited to see how Jiraphat makes the most of his second chance. Grab your favorite snacks, settle in, and give this series a try. I'm ready for more!
