Well, my sleep schedule hit a wall on October 19, 2026, when tvN dropped Episodes 1 and 2 of Love in Disguise (나의 유죄인간)! After a long day of work, I was in the mood for something fun, and this K-drama delivered. From the very first scene, I was hooked by the corporate drama and tension. I went into this premiere expecting a workplace thriller, but I also got plenty of forced proximity and chemistry, and honestly, I can't complain because this premiere was a masterpiece! All the teasing in the drama's promotional content has paid off, and I cannot take my eyes off the two leads!
Love in Disguise Plot: Undercover Trouble

This K-drama wastes absolutely no time getting into the action. The story follows Yoon Yi-jun (Yim Si-wan), the heir to Taekang Group, who becomes the prime suspect in a gruesome murder involving a cabinet inside his own company's headquarters. The corporate board protects him with an ironclad wall of legal protection, making it seem as though the police can't touch him.
Then we have our favourite Kang Jae-hee (Seol In-ah), a relentless special forces detective who refuses to stand by while a wealthy heir appears to get away with murder. Because of her looks, build, and demeanor, people often mistake her for a man. She uses this to her advantage, cuts her hair, slips into a sharp, tailored suit, and goes undercover as Yi-jun's male personal secretary. Her mission? Find his missing phone and uncover the truth.
It's been a while since I've been this hooked on a drama with a gender-bending storyline, the way I was when I watched Coffee Prince! If you're a fan of enemies-to-lovers romances and office tension, you're going to have a lot to enjoy here. Clear your schedule because you won't want to miss a minute of this!
Love in Disguise Episodes 1-2 Review: The Chemistry So Far
One of my favorite things about Episode 1 is that the drama skips all the boring stuff and gets straight to the big events. That's where the show really shines, especially in the way both characters play with gender expectations. Kang Jae-hee has wonderfully masculine, straightforward qualities, while Yoon Yi-jun is more elegant, fussy, and emotionally messy. Rather than playing the usual domineering CEO, Yim Si-wan gives us a more unpredictable, overly emotional, and brilliantly prickly character. We're already familiar with Si-wan's ability to choose interesting projects, and here he is taking on a rare rom-com role with this much messy energy!
Seol In-ah, on the other hand, has been long overdue for a major role, and I think her casting is absolutely perfect. Her natural boyish style, along with the energy and athleticism she's shown before in her other works and real life, makes her transition into an undercover male secretary feel believable. Things get even more interesting in Episode 2 when Yoon Yi-jun sets traps to see if she can keep up her disguise, leading to a fight in a cramped archive room. Their dynamic is quite quirky because both characters embody and challenge traditional gender expectations, especially when they're under pressure. It's so much fun watching them switch roles when the situation calls for it!
Oh, and massive kudos to the supporting cast! With so many familiar comedians in the mix, the drama has plenty of hilarious moments. Kim Jung-hyun is also stepping outside his usual roles by playing Kim Si-hyeon, a character with a golden-retriever-like personality. However, I'm not completely sold on the romance between Kim Si-hyeon and Lee Hye-jeong (Yeonwoo) just yet. I'll need a little more time to see how their relationship develops.
Love in Disguise Review: My Verdict After Episode 2

Two episodes in, and I'm hooked on this madness! I love how the stakes are high, but the danger doesn't overshadow the romance. Instead, it adds to the tension between the leads, making their moments together even more exciting to watch. The direction is spectacular, the performances from both main characters are out of this world, and the overall tone is addictive. I can't wait to see what happens next!
