Scarlet Heart Ullavee Episodes 1–2 Review Thai Version (2026)

Scarlet Heart Ullavee Episodes 1–2 Review: Thai Version (2026)

So, it's that time again, and my calendar has been marked for this premiere since day one! Premiering on November 4, 2026, Scarlet Heart Ullavee (ปาฏิหาริย์ข้ามกาลเวลา) finally hit our screens, adding another highly anticipated title to GMMTV's already impressive lineup. Welcome back to the slaughterhouse! If you've survived the emotional trauma of the previous adaptations, get ready to go through it all over again.
The story begins with our modern-day heroine, Na Boon (Tu Tontawan), who suffers a crushing heartbreak after a relationship falls apart and makes a desperate wish for true love. So, Universe, why is it that when I ask you for something, you take things so literally? Instead of getting the fresh start she hoped for, she is catapulted across time and space and finds herself in the body of Fong Nuan, a young noblewoman living in the lavish but terrifying world of Ullavee. Before she can even catch her breath, figure out how basic plumbing works, or get anything else sorted, she's thrown straight into the middle of a ruthless royal power struggle surrounded by a whole bunch of dangerously calculating princes.
This is the perfect watch for anyone who enjoys epic royal dramas, gorgeous period costumes, and a heroine who refuses to sit on the sidelines and look pretty. Remember the recently aired The Remarried Empress? Well, get ready for another round of royal scheming, complicated princes, and enough palace drama to keep us busy for weeks.

Scarlet Heart Ullavee Episodes 1–2 Review: First Impressions

Episode 1 throws us straight into the action without a moment's hesitation. The moment Tu Tontawan finds herself caught up in the madness of life in a historical palace, it's comedy gold, mixed with a healthy dose of panic! She absolutely delivers when Na Boon realizes she no longer has access to all the modern conveniences she's used to. Watching her struggle to adjust to this unfamiliar world is hilarious!
Then Episode 2 kicks in, giving us a closer look at the royal sibling rivalries and the power struggles between the princes. Mueang Fah (Win Metawin) makes quite an impression, and his every encounter with Na Boon is filled with instant tension.
But Saen Thep (Nanon Korapat) is the one who steals the show for me. His ominous presence and calculated behaviour make every scene involving him feel unsettling. He has the kind of energy that makes you want to look away from the screen and stare at the wall for a while. Seriously, what is going on with this man?
We also get introduced to Indraraja (Tay Vihokratana) and Jom Harn (Fourth Nattawat), along with the rest of the princes, each with their own motives and ways of getting involved in Na Boon's life. There's already so much happening within this royal family, and I can't wait to see how all these personalities and rivalries come together.
The pacing of these first two episodes is just right. The drama balances witty fish-out-of-water moments with an increasingly ominous sense of palace intrigue. One minute, we're laughing at Na Boon's struggles to adjust to her new life, and the next, we're reminded that she's surrounded by princes who may have their own dangerous agendas. What a way to start!

Scarlet Heart Ullavee Review: My Verdict After Episode 2

These first two episodes feel like boarding a high-speed train with no stops along the way, and I'm absolutely in it for the ride! The production quality is impressive. Every palace courtyard looks stunning on screen, and the cinematography does a wonderful job of bringing this historical world to life. Add the star power of this GMMTV cast, and there's already plenty to be excited about.
Of course, historical adaptations always come with huge expectations. Fans often debate whether the casting choices live up to the original characters and whether the actors can do justice to the roles. But once these characters come to life on screen, it's easier to get caught up in this new version. And considering that this is a Thai adaptation of one of the most beloved historical romance series in the Asian drama community, there's quite a legacy to live up to.
The Scarlet Heart story actually began with a Chinese novel titled Bu Bu Jing Xin, written by Tong Hua (also known as Ren Haiyan) and published in 2005. It was first adapted into the Chinese drama Scarlet Heart (2011), followed by the Korean version, Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo (2016). Now, we have the Thai adaptation, which goes back to the original novel for its story.
Nanon Korapat brings a wonderfully brooding and unpredictable presence to Saen Thep, making him one of the most intriguing characters to watch so far. Meanwhile, Tu Tontawan gives Na Boon the spirited personality and emotional depth that make her so easy to root for. We've only reached Episode 2, but my heart is already in shambles. I'm ready to cry over fictional princes for the next few weeks!
So, do yourself a favour and set aside your Wednesday and Thursday evenings for this one. Grab yourself a treat, settle in, and get ready to dive into this lovely mess. I have a feeling we're in for quite an emotional ride!
